Rashid Khan (Ind)
Born: February 15, 1991 | Residence: Delhi, India | Turned pro: 2010
Titles: Asian: 2
Rashid Khan broke through on the Asian Tour with his maiden title at SAIL-SBI Open this year at the same Delhi Golf Club, where he virtually learnt all his golf. He added to his reputation by winning the Chiangmai Classic in Thailand later in the year. That saw Rashid finish 10th on the Order of Merit. Interestingly, Rashid was part of the Indian team that won Asian Games silver in 2010. After missing out at the Qualifying School Final Stage, he made full use of his limited playing opportunities and kept his card in just five starts, which included a second at the 2013 SAIL-SBI Open, losing in a play-off to Anirban Lahiri. He sealed his Tour card for 2014 when he posted a tied fourth result at the Hero Indian Open. In 2015, he had a few Top-10s but is looking at a good 2016. Winner of the Faldo Series Asia in 2007 and 2009 as an amateur, he is from DGC where he learnt the game from his uncle Maqbool Ahmed, a former pro on Indian Tour.
